PERFORMANCE OF THE CHINESE THEATRE CIRCLE
      I wish to record my thanks to the Chinese Theatre Circle for their marvelous and breath-taking performance in Cairo. Although, Chinese opera was something new to the audience, the troupe's performances were well received by the many Egyptians and foreigners who attend the opera. I hope that this will be the beginning of an exchange of cultural troupe between Egypt and Singapore.

      I also fully appreciate the time, effort and stamina of the troupe in taking an additional public performances in spite of your scheduled performances at the Opera House. The readiness and willingness displayed by the troupe to promote Singapore was indeed heartwarming.

      Please say a big thank you to all the members of the troupe for a memorable performance in Cairo.
