See Too Hoi Siang Based on historical records the opera tells the story of the rise of the Tai Ping Rebellion in the 1850s during the Qing Dynasty (AD 1654 - 1911). It focuses on the heroic deeds of woman warrior Hong Xuan Jiao, the first lady warrior in the history of China to lead an army of women. At Mount Cockerel she fought a decisive battle against the Qing army and won, thus helping the leader of the Tai Ping Movement Hong Xiu Quan to advance to Nanjing. A China opera script part of which has been rewritten by Leslie Wong. Peng Qin Hua

This is a big production involving about 80 participants presented by CTC in collaboration with the famous Guangdong Academy of Cantonese Opera from Guangzhou, China (PRC). The production will feature two young rising Cantonese Opera stars. They are See Too Hoi Siang of CTC, the first Chinese Opera actress to win the international award called "The Outstanding Young Person In The World Award" for cultural achievement, and Peng Qin Hua of the Guangdong Academy of Cantonese Opera who has recently won several accolades for his outstanding performances in China (PRC). See Too Hoi Siang will assume the female role of Hong Xuan Jiao while Peng Qin Hua will take on the male lead role of Xiao Zhao Gui (Hong's husband).

The opera will showcase the "fighting" skills of both See Too Hoi Siang and Peng Qin Hua. In the opera there will be two fighting scenes. In one of them there will be a spectacular flag dance by the artists from China (PRC).
