The carp fairy took pity on a poor scholar Zhang Zhen who was a spurned lover of the daughter of the Prime Minister. One night when the scholar was studying the carp fairy who transformed herself into a beautiful lady emerged from the pond and called on him. Touched by the gentlemanly behaviour and sincerity of Zhang Zhen, the carp fairy fell in love with him and romance between them blossomed ultimately culminating in the carp fairy sacrificing her magical powers to marry the mortal scholar. - Reunion At The Milky Way
(Featuring Kwong Kwong Luen as Tung Rong and Chan Suk Wah as the Fairy)
This episode is taken from the household legend of "The Cowherd And The Fairy" about the romance between a cowherd and the seventh daughter of the King of Heaven. In this fairy tale, a tree acted as the matchmaker. The seventh daughter of the King of Heaven married Tung Rong a poor cowherd and gave birth to a baby boy, thus incurring the wrath of her father who compelled her to return lest misfortune would befall upon her husband. As a punishment she was only allowed to meet Tung Rong once a year on the seventh day of the seventh moon when heavenly birds would form a bridge along the Milky Way for their reunion.
- The Butterfly Fairies
(Featuring Kwong Kwong Luen as Liang Shan Bo and Chan Mei Leng as Zhu Ying Dai, singing and dancing gracefully to the evergreen melody of "The Butterfly Lovers")
This is the finale of the household legend of "The Butterfly Lovers". Liang San Bo and Zhu Ying Dai were schoolmates. In spite of hints given by Zhu Ying Dai that "he" was in fact a woman in disguise as a scholar, Liang Shan Bo was unable to comprehend his companion's allusion until he called on Zhu Ying Dai's residence later when Zhu Ying Dai revealed her true identity. Liang Shan Bo asked for her hand in marriage. It was then too late as Zhu Ying Dai had been betrothed to another man against her will. Liang Shan Bo died of grief; and Zhu Ying Dai too killed herself at his grave to demonstrate her love for him. The duo was transformed into butterfly fairies living happily ever after. In this scene showing the transformation of the two lovers into butterfly fairies, watch the exquisite costumes of the cast which includes ten children currently learning Chinese Opera at CTC.

Xiao Qing wanted to kill Xu Xian as she thought he was ungrateful towards her mistress by following Fa Hai to the Jinshan Monastery.
