蝶 影 红 梨 记 ( 简介)这是已故香港名编剧家唐涤生先生根据元朝(公元一二七九年至一三六八年)张寿卿原著"红梨记"改编, 于一九五七年为香港仙凤鸣剧团编撰,由已故任剑辉和白雪仙领衔演出之不朽之作。
山东才子赵汝州和汴京名妓谢素秋, 三载神交，酬诗相和，恨未谋面。元宵佳节，相约寺门会面. 无奈上天作弄, 一对有情人，无法相见.
王丞相通番卖国，以百二佳丽献予金邦, 素秋为仕女班头。汝州知素秋被困相府，赶至相门, 不得其入. 两人只能在隔门同声一哭. 王丞相幕客刘公道, 以移花接木计救走素秋. 汝州心心不愤, 追车欲见素秋; 闻得车中佳人已死, 伤心欲绝.
素秋与刘公道投靠汝州故友钱济之，适值汝州亦到. 济之为汝州前途着想，禁止素秋向汝州透露其身份, 只可冒着为已故王太守之女，名叫红莲. 素秋无奈,与济之约法三章，并以咏梨诗一首鼓励汝州。翌曰，刘公道扮作花王, 对汝州说红莲乃鬼物. 汝州大惊，两番失意, 忍痛上京求名。素秋不想再留伤心地，遂转投靠以前姊妹沈永新，讵料被沈永新出卖, 被王丞相押回相府。王丞相垂涎素秋，欲独占花魁。
汝州高中状元，官拜按察, 奉命追查王丞相。 在王丞相欲举行纳宠仪式之际, 汝州突然赶， 见堂中遍插红梨花，心觉诧异；后经素秋, 刘公道及济之解释, 才知真相. 王丞相俯首伏罪. 汝州公义私情, 两者兼得. 汝州与素秋, 一对有情人,终成眷属。
"ROMANCE OF THE RED PEAR FLOWER" SYNOPSIS
This Cantonese Opera, adapted from the original works of the playwright Zhang Sou Qing in the Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368), was written by the renowned Hong Kong playwright the late Mr Tang Disheng for the Xian Feng Ming Cantonese Opera Troupe led by the famous Cantonese Opera duo the late Ms Yam Kim Fai and Ms Pak Suit Sin. The story is set in the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279) and revolves on the unusual romance between a scholar Zhao Ru Zhou and a songstress Xie Su Qiu both of whom have never met. They only resort to composing poems to communicate with each other.
Xie who has arranged to meet Zhao on the fifteenth day of the lunar new year in the monastery where they used to exchange poems through the Chief Abbot, is summoned by the wicked Prime Minister to his mansion to sing. Zhao rushes to the Prime Minister's mansion but he is not allowed to see Xie who has been confined by the Prime Minister who intends to offer her together with other songstresses to the barbarian king as the price of a truce. With the help of an old scholar Liu Gong Dou working under the Prime Minister, Xie uses the death of her colleague as a ruse and escapes with Liu. They go to seek refuge in the residence of Zhao's bosom friend Jian Ci Zi. Coincidentally Zhao, thinking that Xie has died, is so depressed that he too goes to seek shelter with Jian Ci Zi.
To help Zhao extricate himself from his state of depression so that Zhao will proceed to sit the Imperial Examination Jian forbids Xie to meet Zhao as well as reveal her true identity even if she meets Zhao. Painful though it may be Xie agrees as she too wants to see Zhao succeed in the Imperial Examination.
One night both Zhao and Xie meet in the garden. The meeting is triggered by a butterfly which Zhao thinks is the spirit of his lover Xie. True to her promise to Jian, Xie does not disclose her real identity. Instead, by composing poems with Zhao and using a stalk of red pear flower as an analogy of romance and departure, Xie encourages Zhao to proceed to sit the Imperial Examination. Sad and dejected Xie leaves Jian's residence together with Liu to look for her former colleague Shun Rong Xin. Unfortunately she is betrayed by Shun as Shun intends to ingratiate into the favour of the Prime Minister again.
Just as the Prime Minister intends to commence his ceremony to take Xie as his mistress, Zhao arrives in great pomp and fanfare as he has succeeded in the Imperial Examination and is appointed by the Emperor as the roving Ambassador. His mission is to arrest the Prime Minister for treason as well as corrupt behaviour. At this juncture, both Liu and Jian take the opportunity to narrate to Zhao what has taken place and Xie also explains to Zhao the reasons as to why she refuses to acknowledge him when they met in the garden of Jian's residence. Zhao ordered the arrest of the Prime Minister. Without hesitation, Liu initiates the wedding ceremony for Zhao and Xie. The opera thus ends on this happy note.
